Murillo Fair (Oliver Agricultural Society)August 14 to August 16, Fri. 5pm – 8pm, sat. 10 – 8, sun, 10-5pmOAAS District: 15 Premises ID: ON4211556 The Murillo Fair is where rural tradition meets community celebration for 136 years — a weekend that brings Thunder Bay and the surrounding area together in the best possible way. The fair is rooted in its mission to encourage awareness of agriculture and enrich rural life, and that purpose comes alive the moment the gates open. From the lively Exhibition Hall to the barns filled with livestock, the fair showcases the talent, hard work, and heart of our agricultural community. In 2025 alone, 119 exhibitors entered 1,334 items — from home baking and preserves to crafts, produce, and creative arts. Livestock competitions feature cattle, goats, sheep, poultry, and rabbits, offering visitors an up-close look at local agriculture in action. Families can enjoy children’s activities, educational programming, artisan demonstrations, live entertainment, agricultural arena events, and a wide variety of vendors and food concessions. Special features like the newly refreshed poultry barn and expanded public viewing hours have enhanced the experience even further. Welcoming nearly 10,000 visitors annually, the Murillo Fair is more than an event — it’s a celebration of heritage, hands-on learning, friendly competition, and the strong rural spirit that defines our community.
