District and Provincial Competition Rules

Competition Rules:

• Butter Tart Competition
• Plain Chocolate Chip Cookies Competition
• Machine Quilt Competition 
• Hand Quilt Competition
• Maple Syrup Competition 
• Honey Competition
• Photography Competition
  Note: Please email your photos to OAAS@oaasfairs.com via https://wetransfer.com/ and the photo files should be labelled, for example,  Class 1 – 1. XXX ag society name,    Class 3 – 3. XXX ag society name

NOTE: Maple Syrup and Honey District Competitions ONLY

Districts are granted a 3-year moratorium on utilizing OAAS Certified Judges for Honey and Maple Syrup District Competitions. (until the end of 2025)

• There is a shortage of Maple Syrup and Honey OAAS qualified judges.  The districts are encouraged to use OAAS judges if available for their district competitions.  If not available the districts should resource judges from Royal Winter Fair Judges
  Ontario Beekeepers Association and the Ontario Maple Syrup Producers
  Local Maple Syrup or Honey Festivals
  Local major producers who are not competing in the district competition

ALL Entries will be judged using the OAAS Judging Standards. Copies of the OAAS Judging Standards can be purchased from the OAAS store at https://oaasfairs.org/agricultural-society-info/store.
